The medium temperature applicable to different valve bodies and valve cover materials is also different. Only by understanding these can the valve selection be carried out correctly and unnecessary losses can be reduced. Guowei Valve introduces some commonly used medium temperatures used in valve bodies and valve cover materials!

The maximum use temperature of the medium suitable for gray cast iron valve body and valve cover is 250℃.

The maximum operating temperature of the medium applicable to the malleable cast iron valve body and valve cover is 300℃.

The maximum use temperature of the applicable medium for ductile iron valve body and valve cover is 350℃.

The maximum operating temperature of the medium suitable for high-silicon cast iron valve body and valve cover is 120℃.

The Maximum Operating Temperature Of The Medium Applicable To The Carbon Steel Valve Body And Valve Cover Is 425℃ (Forgings 16Mn And 30Mn Can Reach 450℃).

The maximum use temperature of the medium suitable for Cr5Mo alloy steel valve body and valve cover is 550℃.

The maximum operating temperature of 1Cr18Ni9Ti and Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti stainless steel valve body and valve cover is 600℃.

The maximum working temperature of the medium suitable for copper alloy valve body and valve cover is 200℃.

The maximum use temperature of the suitable medium for titanium valve body and valve cover is 300℃.

The maximum use temperature of the applicable media for plastic valve body and valve cover: nylon 100℃, chlorinated polyether 100℃, polyvinyl chloride 60℃, polytrifluoroethylene chloride -60~120℃, polytetrafluoroethylene -180~150℃.

The rubber diaphragm valve depends on the type of rubber, natural rubber 60℃; nitrile rubber and neoprene 80℃; fluororubber 150℃.

When rubber and plastic are used in the valve lining, the temperature resistance of rubber and plastic shall prevail.

Ceramic and glass valves have poor temperature resistance and rapid change, and are generally used below 90℃.

The temperature resistance of enamel valves is limited by the sealing ring material, and the maximum medium temperature does not exceed 150℃.
